Founded by Chris Chelko, Whispering Imps Productions, LLC. is a Los Angeles based company specializing in designing and producing luxury playing cards and products inspired by American magician Harry Kellar's mythological whispering imps from 1894.

 

 

CHRIS CHELKO

Based in Los Angeles, California, Chris Chelko is a television producer, variety arts consultant, photographer, designer & collector of playing cards.

For nearly 5 years he served as the Talent Coordinator on NBC’s late-night talk-show The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. 

Since then he has produced live touring shows for Bill Nye "The Science Guy", The Jonas Brothers and has produced television shows such as NBC's Best Time Ever with Neil Patrick Harris, Little Big Shots starring Steve Harvey, Nick Cannon's Wild 'N Out on Tour for MTV, Netflix's Magic For Humans with Justin Willman, The Movies That Made Us & Nickelodeon's America's Most Musical Family.

 

 

 

COLLABORATIONS

Over the years Chris Chelko and Whispering Imps Productions, LLC. has had the pleasure of collaborating with various artists, performers, brands and companies to develop their own custom decks of unique playing cards.  

 

 Piff The Magic Dragon

A completely custom deck of playing cards illustrated by Claire Blackledge in the UK.  This deck features 7 unique gaff cards for tricks, two special jokers for a special card reveal, a unique marking system to identify each card, completely custom court cards and pips all encased in a specially designed tuck box with its own fold out legs (just like Piff's)

 

 

The Three Stooges®

Developed and produced by Chris Chelko, The Three Stooges® playing cards are a series completely custom decks of collectable playing cards celebrating the film and TV comedy legends The Three Stooges®.  All of the artwork was hand drawn by world renowned illustrator Jackson Robinson of Kings Wild Project. Available Spring 2020.

 

Sleep Hollow for Pure Imagination Projects

In 1820 American author Irving Washington first published his short story The Legend Of Sleepy Hollow. Nearly 200 years later, this story continues to resonate around the world as one of the most popular American fiction stories of all time and is now captured in this beautifully illustrated deck of custom playing cards.

Over a year in the making, The Legend Of Sleepy Hollow Playing Cards were conceived by playing card designer Derek McKee, masterfully illustrated in France by J.C. Desevre and presented by Chris Chelko. This incredibly intricate and detailed deck of playing cards depicts artwork and characters from the famous Sleepy Hollow legend including Ichabod Crane & the Headless Horseman.

From the brilliant gold metallic inks to the custom court cards, this deck captures the true essence of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.

 

Three Little Pigs for Pure Imagination Projects

Inspired by the classic fable, The Three Little Pigs playing cards borrow from the tale’s lesson on diligence with an ornate design that feels as timeless as the story. Produced by Pure Imagination Projects, Presented by Chris Chelko and designed by Joe White of Ye Olde Studio.

Featuring original hand-drawn artwork, The Three Little Pigs playing cards were printed by the U.S. Playing Card Co. in a limited edition of 2,500.
